Announcements for 6-26-22

We have some great news of an error announced both at the VBS program and in the bulletin following VBS. We thought we raised enough money for 295 meals in Ukraine. But…a meal does not cost $5.68. Rather, the cost of $5.68 feeds a child THREE TIMES A DAY! So....we raised enough to purchase 885 meals for children in Ukraine. As Susan VW told us in her children’s sermon, each meal is an opportunity not only to physically feed Ukrainians, but each meal is an opportunity to share the gospel. Please join me in continuing to pray that these 885 meals have eternal consequences. Praise the Lord!

CAMPFIRE WORSHIP NIGHT: Join us tonight for a night of worship, campfires, campfire songs, and s’mores. Bring your own lawn chair and roasting sticks! Come and go as you need! June 26th @6:30pm in the FRC parking lot.

WE REACHED OUR GOAL!! We would like to give thanks and praise to all who donated money towards the purchase of our new oven, we couldn’t have done it without your support! ~First Reformed Church Women’s Ministry

Please be in prayer for this week’s work crew in Alcoa, TN.  The following adults and students are participating in HIS WORKS Mission Trip June 24-July 2:  Craig Wynia, Keri Davis, Madisen Iwen, Mason Wynia, Jac Van Wyhe, Cael Schulte, Regan Van Wyhe, Kaylee Davis and Cheryl Van Beek.    Pray that the Gospel will be shared in word and deed.  The Theme of the Week is “Kingdom Come”.  Based on Matthew 6:10, Jesus led by example of what it looks like for God’s Kingdom to be done on earth.  Our prayer is that this week will be a shining example of us following Jesus’ lead.

Plan now to attend the Bible League Christmas in July on July 25, 1:30 at Immanuel CRC, Orange City. Enjoy a short program and silent auction. Your participation will help spread the gospel in many countries of the world.

Good after noon Churches, This past spring we had a gentleman from George IA reach out to JFA and see how we could work together to ship a 40’ container of humanitarian aide to his son who is in northern Ukraine.  Over the course of weeks items were collected and stored here, and at the end of May packed up and shipped to Ukraine.

*The June Bridge is now available in the holder next to the mailboxes*

~Sunday’s bulletin will now be available via your phone. Just scan the QR code on the bulletin stands or the welcome center.

**Please Call Church Office to reserve Meeting Rooms**

*Bulletin announcement deadline is now Thursdays at 11am, call, email or drop off at the church office

Thank you to all who delivered meals, send cards, and gifts; offered hugs, and prayed with us after the passing of my dad – Dick Aaker, and Bill’s continued chemo Treatments. We feel very Blessed. Bill and Shari Kastein

Elizabeth (Betty) Vanden Heuvel has been hospitalized in Rock Rapids and in Sioux Falls for several days. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she regains her strength.

Please be in prayer for the following campers this week as they attend Inspiration Hills: Elise K, Gracelyn M, Isaiah DW, Hudson DW.

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He Who promised is faithful.”
