~Our annual congregational meeting was held during the worship service last Sunday, November 27^th. Elected to the office of Elder were: Sharon Postma and Chris Wright. Elected to the office of Deacon were: Justin Groen, Mark Boender and Rob Van Hofwegen. They will be officially installed on January 8^th, 2023.

*We want to thank each of you for your prayers and acts of kindness at the time of Carol ‘s passing. Thanks to our care elder for the meal she brought and all who prayed for Rod during his hospitalization. ~Thank you for the card and wishes. We hope Thanksgiving went well for FRC too! We have much to be thankful for. Our family was here from Nashville and our time with them was fun. Also, we are so thankful that Sherri has not needed radiation for her cancer. ~We have a received a very kind and personal thank you from Gordie Siebring, Slava-Ukraine.  He shared his appreciation for supplies donated as well as ongoing concern for the situation in Ukraine.  Please continue to pray.    There are copies of the entire thank-you in the Gathering Space.  Please take a minute to read about the details and the situation our brothers and sisters of Ukraine are experiencing. 

Next week the 11^th of December the Girls League will be serving cinnamon rolls at Common Ground. This will be a free will donation supporting the Girls League.   
 Birthday Calendars:  The Bell Choir will be selling Birthday/Anniversary Calendars for 2022. They are $5.00 each with all proceeds going to The General Fund.  To order your copy contact Sharon Tilstra at 472-2390, Mary Hoogers at 472-3097, the church office at 472-3729 or leave a note in Sharon and/or Mary’s church mailbox. The deadline to order is Dec 18. Calendars will be ready by January 1. Thank you in advance for your support.

With winter quickly approaching we have a few reminders as far as cancelling worship. We will make announcements via Flocknote, Prayer Chain, Social-Media and the following radio stations KIWA Sheldon and K101/KQAD.  The same rules apply to our Wednesday night activities. (If Central Lyon and or West Lyon schools release early or cancel, we will NOT have activities that day, so please plan accordingly) Thanks for your understanding. First Reformed Church.

~Christmas Caroling – December 11 -Giving only 2-3 hours of your time can have a lasting impact on somebody!  We will be Christmas caroling on Sunday December 11. Would you please consider joining a group and go caroling? It is a fun couple of hours!  We welcome singers and families of all ages (children to adults). If you are interested, please sign up in the gathering area or contact Kayla Van Wyhe or Sharon Postma.
