Announcements for 6-4-23 

 

The family of Myron Krull would like to thank our church family for being so supportive during the tragic loss of our husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.  The prayers, kind words, cards, food, and memorials have been overwhelming but our greatest comfort is from our Lord and Savior.  As the song goes: “The only scars in Heaven are on the hands that hold you now.” Myron has reached his final destination, now face to face with Jesus.  What a glorious day that will be when we see Jesus’ face to face.

Door Greeters - The Welcome Team committee is excited to announce that we will be having greeters at our 3 main entrances each Sunday starting in June. This would be the north door by the elevator, south door by the mailboxes, and our southeast door. We would like to have many of you involved and helping out. If you are interested in being a greeter, please sign up on the sign-up sheet in the gathering area or contact the church office.  Thank you!

 

  

Mark your calendar! Our VBS program is this Friday, June 9 at 11:30am. All are welcome to attend! We will be taking an offering during the program to offset VBS expenses (curriculum, t-shirts, lunch supplies, etc…).

Thursday, June 8                  9:00 am - 2:00 pm

   Friday, June 9                       9:00 am - 11:30 am

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: Thanks so much for participating in OCC this past fall.  The numbers are in and the numbers are up:  10,599,907 shoebox gifts packed and donated worldwide in 2022!  That number represents the number of children who will hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, and have opportunities to study what it means to be His disciples through The Greatest Journey lessons.

This year the 200 millionth shoebox gift (since OCC began in 1993) was given to a young girl in Ukraine.  Please continue to pray for all these children, that they would come to know Jesus as their friend and Savior, and be equipped to boldly share His love with families, friends, and communities.

 

Worship at Inspiration Hills:  We are going to worship at Inspiration Hills on July 9th at 10:30 with Rods and Rides, followed by lunch and various camp activities.  Please sign up at the Welcome Center or on the Church Center app if you plan to attend.  Please bring your lawn chairs, swimming suits, towels, and a free will donation for lunch.

 

The June Bridge is now available in the clear boxes next to the mailboxes. 

Church office hours: 9-1 Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday 9-12.

*Bulletin announcements need to be to the office by Thursday at 9am for the Sunday bulletin
