Announcements for 4-24-22
Sunday School Memory Work: This morning, our 3rd Grade Class will be reciting The Ten Commandments. Next week, our 4th Grade Class will be reciting the Books of the Bible. Parents: please have your 4th graders to their classroom by 9:15 AM. When they are finished, the children will join their families for the remainder of worship. Thank you!
Cherub Choir - Cherub Choir will be singing for the special music during the church service on May 1. Please have your child go to the Cherub Choir room by 9:15 am. Also, we will be singing in a combined choir with the Adult Choir and Bell Choir for special music on May 8. We will have a special practice at 8:45 am on Sunday May 8 in the sanctuary.
Womens Ministry Oven Project: Our Womens Ministry Team is hosting a project to raise funds for a new convection oven for the church kitchen. We are halfway to our goal of $3500. If you would like to donate, please contact Audra Klinkenborg or the Church office. All checks should be written to “Womens Ministry”

Just For Fun - All Church Potluck - Sunday May 1: All are invited for fellowship, food and fun at our All-Church Potluck on Sunday, May 1 right after Sunday School. Please bring your favorite dish to share. Dinnerware and beverages will be provided. If you would like to help with planning, set-up or clean-up, please contact Mike Klarenbeek or Sharon Postma. Planning Center: We will be starting to implement a new way of contacting and church event planning. It is called “Planning Center”. So, if you are receiving emails to accept, please do. Prison Ministry Opportunity: Come and worship in the state penitentiary in Sioux Falls! We will join Cornerstone Prison Church for worship on Friday, May 20. We will leave from the church parking lot at 4:45pm and return around 9:00pm. We will worship and go out to eat after. You must be 18 years or older. You must fill out a waiver and turn it in to any staff member by this Sunday, April 24. There are limited spots, so the first 15 people get to go! Get a waiver from the Welcome Center, Church office, or contact Valerie Lenderink, frcmusic@premieronline.net or call or text 314-637-8383.
Worship Is: What's the difference between worship and performance? Why do we sing, pray, and give an offering during church? Come join this new adult Sunday school class, Worship Is. We will explore what worship is, how to do it, what it means, the history, biblical stories, relevant application, and more! MAY BREAKFAST: The Holy Name Catholic Church’s St. Catherine’s Society is hosting a May breakfast on Saturday, May 7th @ 9am. At the Holy Name Parish Hall~1108 S Carroll Street, Rock Rapids, IA. Hope Rasmussen will be speaking about her Study Abroad Program in Peru and providing musical entertainment.
Hope Haven Inc. will host a Spring Concert featruing the Duttons on Saturday, April 30th at 6:30pm at the BJ Haan Auditurium at Dordt University in Sioux Center, IA. The Dutton family is well knoown for their popular family-friendly Branson, MO show. Tickets are $20 a person, or $50 for a family pass. Visit hopehaven.org for more information.
